Sam is an excellent personal trainer. I came to her for help recovering from my back injury. My main goal was to be able to run again. Sam listened to my goals, put together a program, and tweaked it based on my progress. Within months I was feeling stronger than I had in years, and within 6 months I was back to being able to run! Before I saw Sam I spent two years trying to recover on my own with no success. Sam is incredibly knowledgeable and is awesome to work with! I’d recommend her to anyone!

I cannot recommend Sam enough! I started seeing Sam in the year before I got top surgery, Her training helped me heal faster and regain my strength quickly after recovery. If you can’t take my word for it— during my pre-op, my surgeon said my pec felt like a pork chop. :) I was a three season athlete in high-school, and part of my early 20s rebellion was refusing to exercise or go to the gym. After a couple of ankle injuries and some back pain/carpal tunnel from my job I realized I couldn’t get away with that anymore. Sam helped me ease back into the habit and feel comfortable in exercise spaces as a fat, trans person (especially as someone who has struggled with eating disorders and was looking to get stronger and not think about weight loss). I was sad to lose her when she relocated, but my loss can be your gain! Train with Sam!

I started working with Coach Sam in 2022 after more than a decade away from training. I was hesitant, rusty, and unsure of what I was capable of. From day one, Sam met me with empathy, patience, and encouragement. She created a space where I felt safe to relearn movement, explore what didn’t feel right, and slowly begin to rediscover myself. Over the next three years, we built more than just strength—we built confidence, resilience, and a powerful connection between my mind and body. Together, we added hundreds of pounds to my squat, bench, and deadlift. We competed and placed, hit countless personal bests, and pushed through tough days with laughter, grit, and a lot of sweat. Training with Sam has been one of the most transformative experiences of my life. I’m not just stronger physically—I’m happier, healthier, and more proud of who I am every single day I show up. I truly wouldn’t be where I am today without her guidance, dedication, and heart. Coach Sam is more than a coach—she’s a catalyst for growth.
